A lot is happening now in the world of technology. As you read this article, an engineer or a developer has just created a new gadget, software or just a simple app for the world to divulge in. We now have the new iPad, the iOS 6, the Google Nexus 7, the Kindle Fire HD, the iPhone 5, and the coming of the iPad Mini. Many customers are lining up for all these gadgets and they find everything else a void or oblivion. They forget their surroundings once they have the new iPad in their hands, creating a world of their own, forgetting that there is life out there. Reality now takes place in your iPad. As fast as technology is developing, people are selling their iPad 1 for the new one. Who needs the old one, right? When Apple released their first tablet decades ago—oh, wait, that was just two years ago—we used to call it the iPad. Now that there are new generations, with a smaller model about to come out, we now call it the original iPad, or classic iPad, or even old iPad. Now that there is a new iOS, you are being forced to sell your old iPad because it is not compatible with iOS 6.

The iPad 1 is thicker and heavier than the iPad 2 and the new iPad. It is slower than the two, and you will pity its display once you put it beside iPad 3’s Retina Display. Obviously, the iPad 1 is an old dog. But unlike an old dog, you can’t teach an iPad 1 new tricks, because there are no new tricks (apps) for it anymore. Everything else is for the iPad 2 and more for the new iPad.

If you are an iPad 1 user, then you are using a fossil. The new iPad makes you feel like your iPad was unearthed from the grave.

But why would sell your iPad when it still works well? Isn’t it good enough to handle the work you are doing or fast enough to play the games you want. You can still read your e-mail with your iPad 1, update your Facebook account with it, tweet with it, blog with it, and many other things.

Why don’t you just wait until it breaks down? Besides, there are a lot of online refurbishment companies out there like CashforiPads.com that would still buy your iPad even if it is broken. Besides, didn’t you buy that gadget because Apple promised you that that it was durable? Ask yourself: Why would Apple make you stop using it if they didn’t make it good?

I understand that you are now stuck with the decision whether to stay with it or say goodbye to it by selling your old iPad online. It is not easy. You might be worrying about the fact that the new iOS is not compatible with your old iPad now. But let me tell you that you should be worried about the future OS platforms, because once you are cut off from the line, you can never go back because the later ones will not let you. The iOS 6 may have cut off the line for the old iPad, but it is still up to you whether you want to say goodbye to it now.

There was a great uproar when Apple launched its own maps application along with the release of the iOS 6 for its new iPhone 5 and to update older iPhone and iTouch models.  Apple finally let go of Google Maps as its native map app and instead used its own in-house developed application.  Not a lot of users were happy with this move by Apple as the app certainly lacked many features and options, making it useless for many users.

A lot of jokes circulated all over the Internet about the map’s accuracy or the lack thereof. Not only jokes but also real life-threatening situations could have turned nasty if the users had relied on the application to look for health care facilities for emergency situations. There were also stories about people getting lost or being directed to other places, which clearly made the map application totally useless.

Apple Flop?

This move by Apple was not a surprise, actually. In fact, it was a widely anticipated move by the company after its relationship with Google started to deteriorate when the later started to get serious with Android, Apple’s closest competitor in the software development game. Also, the launch of the new map app was in line with the company’s acquisition of various mapping companies.  Since Apple had its own mapping abilities, the next step naturally would have been to rely on the data that these companies already had and to launch its own map app.  The problem was that, clearly, these companies had yet to amass the same amount of data as Google Maps which has been amassing data since 2005.

It is clear that Apple was in a hurry to let go of Google’s services because of its deteriorating relationship with the company.  Deciding to use the data from the mapping companies that they acquired was one of the reasons why the application failed miserably.  Compared to Google’s data, Apple’s mapping arm clearly has a lot more compiling to do.  This only goes to show how important data really is and how important it is that the data be updated regularly. Even with Apple’s partnerships with other mapping companies, they still fell short in providing a useful and remarkable application that their users could enjoy and appreciate using.

What Apple Should Do

Now that Apple has realized their failure, at least they were humble enough to admit their shortcomings.  Tim Cook even released an apology letter admitting that it was a terrible map application that came with their software update.  All they have to do now is to work on the data that they have and enhance it.  Apple can’t afford to scrimp on updating all the information that they have so that they will be able to provide more accurate maps, better images, and better rendering of cities and street views.  If they are able to improve on this, then people will be more likely to forgive them and start appreciating Apple’s new maps.

The iPad has made its mark as the tablet PC to have when it comes to both form and function. The best thing about Apple’s tablet PC that owners love is that it is easily connected to iTunes, where everything can be bought – from MP3s to full albums, from TV shows to movies and even apps.  This is what sets iPads apart from most tablets, especially those running on Android. The Android market for e-books, music, and videos are separate, making it inconvenient and messy for a lot of users.

Speaking of music you can download on iTunes, here are the three most downloaded songs according to the iTunes charts:

Picture

I Knew You Were Trouble by Taylor Swift

The queen of country-pop crossover is dominating the music charts again, and has two other songs on the top 50 list.

Picture

Gangnam Style by PSY

This catchy tune by the South Korean rapper has taken the world by storm. Its catchy beat and dance moves have made the song viral.

Picture

Skyfall by Adele

The British soul superstar simply cannot do anything wrong. Adele plus James Bond equals a chart-busting song!

For those who still have the iPad 2 and would like to upgrade to an iPad 3, there are several ways to sell iPad 2 online. You can post it on eBay or some online classifieds website. You can also use your social networking accounts and try to sell your old iPad to your contacts or friends. With these two methods, what usually happens is that you wait for interested people to contact you. If they already agree to the selling price that you posted, then you will just have to discuss how you send them the iPad and how they will send you the payment. However, it is most likely that before this happens, they will try to negotiate and lower the price.

You may be wondering if there is a much more convenient way of selling your old tablet online, where you don’t have to do so much negotiation and the steps of mailing off your tablet and getting your payment is straightforward and clear. It is a good thing that people like you can sell iPad 2 to CashforTabletPCs.com. The website is part of a company that buys used electronics, either to refurbish and resell them, or to use them for parts. This means that you can sell your old iPad in whatever state it is in.

The steps involved when you sell iPad 2 to CashforTabletPCs.com are pretty much straightforward. First you indicate the model or type of tablet you are selling to get a price quotation. Then you choose how you want them to pay you, as well as put in a request for a mailer or box. Once your shipment has arrived and their technicians have assessed your tablet, you will receive a call from customer service informing you when to expect your payment.

A lot of people have appreciated what the tablet PC could do especially now that there are more affordable models being made available to consumers.  The 7-inch Android-based tablet PCs are making people sell iPad 2 WiFi/3G 64GB Verizon because not only are they affordable, their performance is also at par with those more expensive brands. There are a lot of available Android tabs in the market but a few really stand out.

Almost all brands have their own 7-inch Android tab available in the market, except, so far, that gadget company based in Cupertino. All these companies have realized that there is a big market for tablets this size as they fit perfectly into the lifestyle of a lot of people.  Students and office workers don’t want to bring around big screen tablet PCs as they can bog them down with their size and weight.  Parents prefer to have smaller sized tablets because kids can handle them much better.  The clincher with tablets this size is that they are small enough to be carried around conveniently and large enough to make viewing movies and playing games fun. The convenience of these smaller tablets can make anyone want to sell iPad WiFi/3G 64GB.

Among the many brands and models that came out in the 7-inch Android tab category, which do we think is the best? Here are some thoughts on the existing models:
Obviously, the Google Nexus 7 ($235) stands out from among the pack, despite being the Johnny-come-lately of the 7-inch tablet contenders.  This is undeniably one of the more famous models, and its features have fortunately lived up to its hype.  Google has amped the way people see the 7-inch Android tablet with this product.  It has a great screen with high resolution, enough to let you appreciate the movies, videos and pictures you have. The powerful Tegra 3 quad core processor chip is fast giving you a snappy performance.  Also, the fact that it is the first tab to run on the latest 4.1 Android Jelly Bean completes the package.  It is a solid performer and it is the best value for money that you can get.

An obvious runner-up would be the Amazon Kindle Fire. There are three sweet features of the Kindle Fire that gives it an edge over its fellow 7-inchers, even the iPad. First, obviously, is the price. At $199, the Kindle Fire is one of the most affordable tablet PCs manufactured by a major company. Second, Amazon offers free cloud storage for anything bought using the device, which makes the limited 8 GB built-in storage a forgettable concern. The iCloud storage may have mastered its syncing activities, but the unlimited storage is just too good to ignore. Last but not the least, Amazon Prime members get an amazing perk: They can stream anything from Amazon’s catalog of more than 10,000 TV shows and movies. Yes, that means unlimited streaming, not to mention, unlimited e-book borrowing privileges and free 2-day shipping for anything purchased on the Kindle Fire.
If you are wanting to sell iPad WiFi 16GBand look for a new tab, these two are the best you can get.

In October, both Google and Microsoft released tablet computers that would face Apple’s iPad tablet. They are trying their best to be huge threats to Apple by launching superb tablet computers with amazing specs, features and designs. It seems that Apple is having a hard time competing with Google with the latter releasing seven-inch and ten-inch tablets at the same time. Their ten-inch tablets even have a higher resolution than the Retina Display on the iPad 4.

For now, let us talk about Microsoft Surface and the iPad 4. Which one is worth selling an iPad for?

Picture
Display

Apple’s fourth generation of the iPad is really impressive with its Retina Display, which was introduced with the iPad 3. It is just eye-candy to watch videos or films on the iPad 3. Its 9.7 inch screen looks crisp. The iPad 4’s resolution is 2048 by 1536 pixels with 264 pixels per inch.

On the other hand, the Microsoft Surface comes with a 10.6 inch screen, making it great as an ultrabook. However, its display is lower than the iPad 4, with its resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels with 144 pixels per inch. The Surface also has ClearType technology which protects the tablet from any scratches.

Picture
Operating System

The Surface comes with Windows RT, which is slightly different from the Windows 8. However, it does have Microsoft Office, like Excel and Word. On the other hand, the latest Apple tablet has the latest operating system from Apple, which is the iOS 6. The iOS 6 has 200 more features than its predecessor.

Picture
Processor

The Microsoft tablet has 1.3 GHz Cortez A9 CPUs, encased with the superpower Tegra 3 T30 with quad core chips from NVIDIA. Microsoft also added ULP GeForce graphical processors and 2 GB of RAM. The tablet then is lightning fast. On the Apple’s side, the fourth generation of the iPad runs on A6X chip processor which is twice as fast as the A5X processor. It also comes with 1 GB of RAM. So if you want to use a tablet computer for gaming, then you should sell an iPad for the Microsoft Surface tablet computer.

Picture
Camera

It seems that Microsoft did not really focus on the camera part of their tablet computer. However, in their defense, there is really no need for a heavy rear camera for such a big tablet.  The Microsoft tablet only has a rear camera with 1.2 megapixels. The front camera, used for video chatting also has the same number of megapixels. On the iPad 4, Apple gave the rear camera 5 megapixels. The front camera has 1.2 megapixels. However, it must be noted that even though the rear camera has better megapixels, it is still awkward to take photos with such a big tablet, so it is not really an advantage.  If you want a great ten-inch tablet, camera should be the least of your worries.

So there you go! Those are the comparisons and differences between the iPad 3 and the Microsoft Surface. So which do you think is better? Comment below!

Do you have an old tablet PC lying around somewhere in your house, neglected in some drawer or closet? In case you don’t know, the longer you let it sit there gathering dust, the lower its value is going to be once you decide to sell it. Those who want to sell a Streak 7 should realize Dell tablet PCs do not really retain their values as well as those made by Asus, Samsung, or Apple. You do not want your tablet to depreciate because then you would not be able to recoup even half of the amount you spent to purchase it.  If you have no idea how to start selling or what to do with an old tablet PC, why not have it recycled?

You might be wondering why you would recycle your used tablet PC.  We are all aware of the great benefits of recycling.  The thing about recycling is that it is not limited to just common things you find around the house like old newspapers, magazines, plastic bottles, and glass jars. It is actually more important to recycle electronic items and appliances because it is dangerous to throw them in the garbage.  There are certain materials in these items that can harm not only the environment but our bodies as well. Those that sell Streak 7s can attest to this.  When these gadgets leak chemicals and these chemicals seep into the ground and into our water systems, and cause a lot of damage.

There are several ways to recycle your old tablet PC.  You probably want to consider selling it and getting some cash out of the deal. Companies like Cash For Tablet PCs, click here to view the site, accept old and broken tablet PCs in exchange for cash.  You just have to get a quote, send the item to them for free and you get your money in just a few days!  They are not a hoax as the company has been doing this since 2002 and quite a few people can attest to their claims of being the most convenient place to sell Streak 7s and other electronic items. Give them a try and help the environment at the same time!

After doing your share helping the environment, what can you do with the cash you get? With the holiday season just around the corner, why not check out these accessories that would be perfect as presents for gadget fans:

After the disappointment over not including the iPad Mini during the last Keynote address of Apple in September, which launched the iPhone 5, people are still anticipating when it will finally be launched.  There are a lot of rumors as to what the final product would look like, what it would have, what the specs would be and its price.  Until today, Apple has remained secretive about this supposed product that they will be launching that no one knows anything about.  Everything remains to be rumors and speculations.

Even those stores that sell Kindle Fire are sure to say that if the company based in Cupertino does release this product, it will be a big threat to the existing leaders in the 7-inch tablet PC market, the Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7

Apple is already an established brand when it comes to innovating products.  Under Steve Jobs’ leadership, the company changed the way we do computing.  The tablet PC would not have become a mainstream device if not for the introduction of the iPad.  Smartphones became a popular gadget because of their iPhone. Even simple music players have become hip because of the introduction of the iPod.

It is not surprising to say that when the company, even under Tim Cook, releases a product, they are sure to launch hits not just among their loyal followers but also other people who end up converting from skeptics to proud iDevice owners. You can ask those who sell Galaxy Tab 4G 10.1 32GB and they will tell you that Apple has a magic in their products which makes people want to have it even if it is not yet available.

Even now, though the iPad Mini is yet to be released, it has already been creating a steady buzz in the tablet PC industry.  Amazon and Google, current lords of the 7-inch tablet market, are doing everything to hold on to their share of the market since the release of their own gadgets, the Kindle Fire and the Google Nexus 7.  Releasing the products before the iPad Mini comes to the market has given them at least a year’s head start in the race to get more sales.

The thing about the iPad Mini is that it will definitely challenge the position of the Amazon and Google gadgets, without a doubt. The impact of the Mini will definitely be felt, although how big its impact will be is still up for debate. But the iPad brand alone will definitely bring it millions of ready buyers, and it will be thrilling to watch how much it will eat from Amazon and Google’s slice of the 7-inch tablet cake.

However, you can talk to those who sell Kindle DX 3G and they will tell you that the iPad Mini does pose a threat to these two leading 7-inch tablets today.  For sure, when the iPad Mini does come out, it will zoom to the top of the charts and topple the two off.

Although it seems that Apple is getting a lot of customers selling iPads for their brand new iPad Mini, that does not make the iPad Mini the best 7-inch tablet computer out there. Apparently, pundits found out that Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD and Google Nexus 7 had better displays.

Many believe that although the iPad Mini is very capable on its own, it is not necessarily following Apple’s tradition of the best display on the market. It does not even have a great display. It only has a good display. Clearly, Amazon and Google tablets are better.

A lot of people expected the smaller version of the iPad to have the Retina Display technology like the iPad 3. If it did, then it would have had 326 pixels per inch, which would need more than four times the screen area of the iPhone 5. That was why Apple stuck with 1024 by 768 with 163 pixels per inch. For a small tablet computer, $329 is too much, especially since Amazon Kindle Fire HD and Google Nexus 7, both of which have better display quality, cost only $199. That makes the Retina Display marketing a failure now for Apple.

Because of the $329 starting price of the iPad Mini, customers are indecisive whether or not the iPad Mini is worth selling their iPad for. Most of them think that the best choice now is the Nexus 7.

The smaller iPad also fell short when it comes to video quality. Contents viewed using this tablet are closer to Standard Definition video than true High Definition, because of the 1024 by 576 resolution, instead of the 1289 by 720 video, that is present on the Amazon Kindle Fire HD and the Google Nexus 7. If the iPad Mini had 1280 by 960, it would have been capable of delivering HD video content.

A weakness of all small tablets is the reflection of light on their screens. Most pundits even said that small tablets reflect so much that you can use them as mirrors. Low reflectance is really important for real picture quality, especially for more portable tablets.

Unfortunately for those who already bought the iPad Mini, the Kindle Fire HD and the Nexus 7 perform better than the small Apple tablet computer, notwithstanding the fact that they have lower prices. Another disappointment is that the iPad Mini has high reflectance, higher than the other two tablets. That means light reflects too much from it. This is another shortfall from Apple.

To summarize, the iPad Mini does not just have lower performance and specs than the Amazon and Google tablets; it is also incapable of besting either of those tablets. If you were to rank the three tablets, the Nexus 7 comes first, then the Kindle Fire HD, then the iPad Mini. Many expected that Apple would take the throne of 7-inch tablets, as they usually do with their products, but not this time.

Welcome back! Let’s now continue with the second part of why the Kindle Fire is better than the iPad Mini. As a recap, we discussed that the Kindle Fire has the better screen, options, display and price. So how can the iPad Mini be better than the Kindle Fire? Anyway, we still cannot figure out what’s with the hype for the iPad Mini when you can have a tablet that delivers the same quality for a cheaper price. Cheap yet great tablet? Well sell your iPad and get the Amazon Kindle Fire!

5.      Availability

We all know that the small tablet computer hype is now focused on the iPad Mini. The first batch to be released is just the Wi-Fi only models. You have to wait for two more weeks for the release of the better tablets. On the other hand, the Kindle Fire and the Kindle Fire HD are already available. If you want a tablet computer now, why wait for a long time?

Picture
6.      Not Your Ordinary Android Device

We all know that if Kindle Fire ran on the ordinary Android operating system, there would be no difficulty liking the iPad Mini better. However, like all Amazon devices, this one runs on a modified version of the Android operating system. And the system is really good.

Picture
7.      Design

The fight for the best design between the Kindle Fire and the iPad Mini is almost a draw, although we can say that the Kindle Fire slightly wins out over the iPad, despite the fact that the difference is not that obvious. The Amazon tablet is sleek and has a nice plastic finish. Its design is simply esthetically pleasing.

8.      No LTE Advantage

When the iPad Mini was released, Apple pointed out that they still have the high ground when it comes to LTE connectivity. The thing is, they did not mention that the Kindle Fire HD also has 4G LTE connectivity. The only problem is that that tablet will not launch until November 20. To make up for it, Amazon assure you that they won’t take advantage of you. Just by paying a one-time fee of $50, Kindle owners can have 250 MB of 4G data for 12 months, including the 20 GB Amazon Cloud Drive Storage.

9.      Services

Amazon has integrated most of their services like the Amazon Instant Video, MP3 store and Cloud Drive into their tablets. That is great news for consumers who want to use a tablet just for media consumption. Although Apple offers iTunes, the Kindle Fire still has more options.

10.      No Other Choice

Amazon customers have no choice except the latest Kindle Fire. Besides, if they are Amazon fans, why not take advantage of the device that is really made to cater to Amazon? If you really love Amazon products, you have no other choice but to stay.

So there you go! Those are the reasons why the Kindle Fire is better than the iPad Mini. If you have decided to get a Kindle, why not sell old or broken iPads at CashforiPads.com for a high price?

Upon its release, the iPad Mini gained a lot of attraction. But then, is it worth selling iPad 1, 2 or 3 for it? Also, remember that Apple is new to the market of smaller tablet computers. It will be facing a lot of competitors like the currently reigning and lower priced Amazon Kindle Fire.

Pre-ordering for the iPad Mini was open on October 26. Everyone got excited and began calling it the best small tablet computer yet. Then again, is the hype really for the quality of the Apple device or is it for the brand name?

Another reason the hype for the iPad Mini is a bit weird is because for such a small tablet computer, its starting price is $329. This makes it much more expensive than any other current tablet in the market. Moreover, despite the fact that its screen is larger than any of those of non-Apple tablets, the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire still have advantages of their own.

Let us talk about the Kindle Fire. This tablet computer from Amazon was designed really well. It was made with the customers in mind. It is not only affordable but also it has cool features. So, cool features + low price = one awesome device. What makes the Kindle Fire better than the iPad Mini?

1.      Options

The Apple tablet computer has 12 models to choose from. The thing is, the only difference between those models is the Internet connectivity, memory storage and color. The Amazon Kindle Fire has its own models too and they depend on what the customers want. First off, there is the Kindle Fire HD with Wi-Fi only. For those who want a cheaper tablet, there is only the Kindle Fire. There is also the larger Kindle Fire HD which is 8.9 inches. LTE service is also available for the 8.9-inch model. These options give consumers a wider range to choose from.

Picture
2.      Screen

We all know that Apple took a great risk when they decided to produce a 7.9-inch iPad. This Apple tablet has a larger screen than the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire. But then again, the Kindle Fire has a higher resolution model and an 8.9-inch display. This matches the Apple tablet. Moreover, consumers might choose to sell their iPad and get the Kindle Fire HD instead because it is available for only $499.

Picture
3.      Price

When it comes to price, the winner is obviously the Amazon Kindle Fire. The cheapest version of the Kindle Fire is just $159. Those who want a higher resolution display can get the Kindle Fire HD for $199. For a larger screen, they can get the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 for $299 with Wi-Fi connectivity. If they add LTE service, they get it for $499. On the other hand, the Wi-Fi only iPad Mini is an expensive $329 with only 16 GB.

Picture
4.      Display

The iPad Mini has a screen with a resolution of 1024 by 768 with 163 pixels per inch. The Kindle Fire HD has a 1280 by 800 high  resolution with 216 pixels per inch. For a better visual experience, you’d better get the Amazon tablet.
